• Ok, weird question,

    I’m moving my local install from pc to mac. So far I installed wordpress on my mac, and imported my database from my pc. The problem is that when I try to pull up wp-admin, it gives me a blank dashboard page. I’m thinking it’s because on my pc, the location of the dashboard was localhost/wordpress/wp-admin, but now, on my mac the location is localhost:8888/wordpress/wp-admin. Is there a way I can go into phpmyadmin and change the location?

    Thanks,
    Paul

    Why, yes… yes there is!

    ??

    This should do it. Changing the URL directly in the database

    And a visual presentation/tutorial for the phpMyAdmin method if you would like to review it first.

    Good luck!

    Thanks ClaytonJames. I already did that and can view the actual working site. My problem is that I can’t view the dashboard.

    Huh.. strange. I guess I was responding to this when I answered;

    I made the assumption for some reason that you hadn’t gotten that far yet. Sorry about that!

    Good luck with it!
