• I just updated my site to WordPress 4.2.2. I opened an existing page to add a few images (with a caption) from the Media Library. Once the images appeared on the page I then tried to change which image was first, second, etc by dragging the image to the correct location. After trying to drag the image it duplicated itself and appeared at the very top of the page. It also resized to a larger size. I tried to drag the image that appeared at the top of the page to another location but it just duplicated itself again and appeared at the top of the page again.

I update images for our Animal Shelter multiple times a day. I can’t work like this. Please HELP!!!

I have reverted to cut and paste now. Drag and drop still duplicates images and throws them to the top of the page.

Hello, are any of the millions of WordPress users out there? Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

    Thanks!!

Now I’m experiencing another issue. When trying to create anchors with the WP Edit toolbar I click on the image that looks like a bookmark, I highlight the text to make the anchor (the place where I want the user directed TO), I name the anchor and save. Then the text I highlighted disappears but an anchor box appears. I then highlighted the text were I want to direct the user FROM. The text jumps to the very top of the page. Is there a connection with what’s happening when I try to drag and drop an image? Things are jumping to the top of the page. Anchors are not working. Text is disappearing.

I have duplicate images that only show when the page is displayed not in the editor.

Wagco2, are you running WordPress 4.2.2 also?
