• This is sort of OT, but I don’t frequent any other forums at the moment, and what I’m looking for is a personal account which I guess is fairly blog-centric.
What I want is an account of someone who’s moved from Windows to OS X. I’m planning to do so myself, but I’d like to read about how other people experienced it.
    Any ideas?

  • What would you like to know? There are many articles on this. Even going through Slashdot, you’d be amazed at the amount of converts. Mac OSX is amazing. Darwin is solid. You won’t miss a thing.

I’ll do a search on Slashdot. Can’t wait to convert!

If you have any specific questions, just ask, I’ve used Windows and Mac based computers for years. I rarely touch anything but Macs since OSX, unless I have a friend that has a problem with their Windows computer (Virus’, left floppy on boot-up, drivers, etc etc). I remember reading in Macworld magazine (Issue Jan.2003) article how the author said something like to his friends and family, “I won’t answer any of your Windows questions, but I’ll answer all of your Mac questions.” Why is this? Because there are less problems on a Mac box and/or it can be fixed fairly easily if there is.
