So, I had a portfolio website set up with free hosting on Weebly, and my domain registered through GoDaddy.

I wanted a better-looking website, so I decided to switch hosting to Dreamhost, and wanted to install WordPress and eventually the WPFolio theme. I wanted to let the domain remain registered with GoDaddy.

Well, I bought a year’s worth of hosting through Dreamhost, and deleted my site at Weebly. I used Dreamhost’s one-click install of WordPress. I received a “success” e-mail from Dreamhost, that said WordPress was successfully installed.

However, whenever I click any of the links in this e-mail, or whenever I try to visit my site, it just shows a grey page that says “Site not published.” What am I doing wrong?? I tried to install WordPress again, but Dreamhost says that it’s already installed.

    My website is https://www.kimdembrosky.com

  • Hello there,

It seems like the issue most likely due to the DNS taking anywhere from 24 hours to 48 hours to propagate. The site now loads for me now. You should try accessing the domain again via WordPress and see if it works. Your name servers are pointing to us and everything in our system looks good. If the site still isn’t loading for you, I’d trying clearing your cache. I hope this helped!

Thanks Justin! It was the name servers that needed to be changed. Everything seems to be working well now.
