    Hi,
Apologies if I’ve missed it, but is there a step by step for using Duplicator for moving my blog from blog.mydomain.com to mydomain.com

E.g when its on the same host do you still need to create a new database?

What happens to all the old links when I move the site to the root using the plugin, does t manage all the link changes or is their an additional step?

Any help or guide to this would be really appreciated!
    thank you

Thanks for replying. But that was the first place I tried. I couldn’t see specific mention of the sub domain to root workflow or the consequences and if there were additional steps to follow.

Actually in your case the easiest thing to probably do is use Blue Velvet. You can always back it up using the Duplicator and if things don’t go as planned with Blue Velvet, just clear out your previous files and database, then place the installer and archive back in your root directory and re-install your web-site, at that point the installer will ask you for your new URL and you can change it from : blog.mydomain.com to mydomain.com and your site will have been officially moved.

    Hope that helps!
