Basically, my old wordpress stopped working, and the server was insecure and so on and so forth.

So, I’ve decided that to make my website most secure, I’m starting from scratch, on a new server.

Is there a way I can easily move posts/pages from one installation on one server to another? I’d use the import/export setting, but the problem is, I can’t get onto the frontend of the old WordPress site, I can only access files via FTP, and the database via phpMyAdmin.

    Any ideas?

  • If you can access the files and your db I would grant it likely the site would run if all conditions are met at host…once running, export posts and pages only, use that to create new site…

Fantastic, thanks for the spark of inspiration!

I managed to take a backup and import an older version of the options table, and that sorted it right out, where I could just do an export/import.

    Thank you ??
