moving from localhost to real domain=> all post and page working BUT Categories.
-
I developed a wordpress 2.3 site on a localhost development server, then moved the entire installation to my hosting following the standard procedure including updating the datafields in the wp_post table as described here
Clicking on all the individual Pages and Posts work. But clicking the Categories and Archives return “Page not found” (the theme version, not the webserver version.)
I tried rebuilding the permalinks by going Options>Permalnks to default then back to pretty permalinks, but this didn’t help. (And, yes, I did copy/paste the content of the .htaccess)
Also, within the Admin, under Manage>Posts, there is no post found. (But i have eleven posts, and they even do show up in the site!!)
Manage>Pages do behave normal with my Pages there. And when I tried to disable the plugins, the Admin>Plugins page cannot load. You can view the site here:
https://www.billycheng.com (but you must set your hostfile to point this domain to the IP: 216.195.58.20 because I have not setup the DNS yet.)Again, my problem is Categories and Archives return “Page not Found”, but individual Posts work fine.
Thank you for your advice!!
