• The blog I need help with is https://www.herebeghosts.com

For some reason when I uninstalled Drupal using fantastico and installed the latest WordPress in its place the new WordPress index doesn’t come up. The only thing that’s showing up is the old blog index without any .css coding too it.

I checked my SQL databases and see only 2 one for the new install and another for another WordPress blog I have for a subdomain.

If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated.

  • Are all of the Drupal files gone and are all of the WP files in place? I’m tempted to suggest that something wasn’t uploaded or overwritten correctly. I don’t trust installer scripts much in general. You might consider a manual install.

Yeah all of those files are in place but I’m going to try a manual install. That Fantastico installer has proven itself to be a huge pain.

Thanks again for coming to the rescue!

Ok I just wiped the fantastico install and i’m about to do a manual. Te old drupel homepage remains though.

    fantastico leaves crap around
look above root for a folder with drupal data in it and delete all contents if there
also in root likely is a drupal version .txt file and/or php file you will need to delete
and of course the drupal index.php if present
