    The problem is:

my existing website is using url with commas ( , )

    example:

    mywebsite.com/100,gallery

    mywebsite.com/102,contact

can I use commas (,) in wordpress cms?

How can I copy urls structure from my existing website to wordpress cms?

It is not recommended to use commas in URLs as they can cause compatibility issues with some browsers and may not be interpreted correctly by search engines. Therefore, it is generally best to use hyphens or underscores to separate words in URLs.

You can use the Custom Permalinks plugin to maintain the same URL structure for your pages and posts in WordPress. This plugin allows you to specify custom permalinks for your pages and posts, including using commas, but it is still not recommended due to the potential issues it can cause.

Another option would be to redirect the old URLs to the new URLs using 301 redirects. This will help preserve your search engine rankings and ensure that visitors to your old URLs are directed to the correct pages on your new WordPress site. You can use the Redirection plugin to manage the redirects on your WordPress site.

It is also essential to ensure that you properly migrate your content from your existing website to your new WordPress site and to use proper SEO practices when setting up your new site to ensure that it is optimized for search engines. This can help ensure that your new WordPress site maintains a good search engine ranking and that your visitors have a seamless experience.

Moving your site is a good opportunity to rid yourself of troublesome commas in URLs. I like Faisal’s suggestions of utilizing 301 redirects. To further that thought, it’s important that the redirects be able to be accomplished by formula, such as all commas are converted to hyphens. All your WP URLs ideally would then be of the form mywebsite.com/100-gallery/ or anything that can be composed through a simple formula. What you want to avoid is having an extensive list of old and new URLs that have little relation to each other.
