Moving domain and hosting godaddy to godaddy

Hello guys, this is my first post in here. Here is my scenario I purchased a hosting and a domain from godaddy one year back.It is a linux shared hosting and I installed wordpress on it. Site is in Good condition. Now i want to buy another hosting from godaddy and want to move the site from old one to new along with the domain. So what will be the procedure for that. I want to keep the domain name same.I do not want to renew the old hosting. But I will renew the domain. Please help me with this.

GoDaddy will help you in this matter. You should not have any problem after hosting change within GoDaddy.

You should be able to order the new hosting account, then copy all the files and the database to it, then add the database user while making certain the username, password and table name all match what you already have in wp-config.php, then delete or remove the domain name from the previous account and add it at the new account and point it to your WordPress just like at the previous account. One complication you might find is that some plugins (such as BulletProof Security) use “absolute server path” for some things and that will be different at the new account. To fix that, you will likely need to deactivate, delete and then re-install the plugin so it can find the new path.
