moving data from WAMP to MAMP

  • Hi guys i am having a difficult time right now, I have done my 2 websites locally on windows WAMP server, but when i moved my data to MAMP server… it gives me “error establishing a database connection”, It gives a pain to me really.. I tried to figure out what is wrong but i couldnt find it. I have copied my data to htdocs and imported my database to MAMP phpmyadmin database.. but all projects i did show the same error..please help me step by step

    Can you verify that the database credentials you have on your previous WAMP server is the same or exists on your current server now being MAMP?

    You can check it out on your phpmyadmin > users tab. If the credentials aren’t listed, you will just have to create them.

    The default database user and password for WAMP are root and empty (no value).

    The default database user and password for MAMP (Mac and Windows) are root and root.
