• Hey Everyone,
I’ve read numerous posts here about how to properly move your blog from one place to another. Currently, I’m entertaining the notion of moving my blog from https://www.fredmckinnon.com/myblog to simply https://www.fredmckinnon.com to get it in the root directory.

I’m confident that I can do this; however, I hate the thought of losing all of my incoming links to the /myblog/ location. I have a Technorati Authority for all the incoming links to the various entries in /myblog/ and wonder if there is a plugin or way to successfully move the blog, but also, prevent all those older incoming links from breaking?

bottom line – if you move your blog to a different location (on the same domain), is there any way to prevent 404 errors, and the breaking of all your incoming links?

    Thanks in advance,
    Fred
