Moving a WP site from my Mac to my host

These instructions are really helpful. I am stuck on this part (wp_options)

“When you click the edit field, an edit field window will appear. In the input box for option_value, you will see the URL of your local install probably something like: https://localhost/test. Carefully insert your new site url in this field,”

How do I know what my site url is?

Hello @jfrasier,

The site url is the url of your new site, e.g. https://mydomain.com. Please note that within table wp_options you need to update the following two fields:

• site url
• home

In addition the following two plugins are pretty helpful when moving a site between hosts:

• Duplicator – WordPress Migration Plugin
• All-in-One WP Migration
