Moving a sub-domain to a root domain and keeping the sub-directory
-
I created a sub-domain via CPanel with a sub-dir of the same name (/bsm). I have WP installed in the sub-domain and want to change/move it to the root, without moving any files from the sub-dir except index.php and .htaccess to the root. I tried using Giving WordPress Its Own Directory as a guide with Search and Replace for WordPress Databases Script, with no success. I’ve searched the How To and Troubleshooting forum here for “sub-domain” and read all the links. Most talk about moving all the files to the root, which I don’t want to do.
I have:
home = bsm.example.com
siteurl = bsm.example.comI want to change it to:
home = example.com
siteurl = example.com/bsmI’ve used Giving WordPress Its Own Directory, Search and Replace for WordPress Databases Script and Moving WordPress a number of times, but am butting my head head against a wall on this one. Could someone enlighten me on the process?
