    Hi,
I am having 3 multisite subdomains, i wish to move one of the site to a entirely new domain.I have used a theme and few plugins also, can this be done by simply exporting from subdomain and importing it in the new domain?thanks ??

  • Do you mean that you have one multisite network with three subdomains in it, and you want one of the sites in the network to have a separate domain?

For example, your main domain is yourdomain.com, you have site1.yourdomain.com, site2.yourdomain.com and site3.yourdomain.com as part of the network, and you want site2.yourdomain.com to be accessible at anotherdomain.com.

If that’s what you’re looking for, you can achieve that with a domain mapping plugin. There’s no need to move anything.

Thanks hostknox for your reply, yes that is what i am looking for to move site2.yourdomain.com to domain.com.
My wordpress version is 3.6.1, the plugin is only compatible upto 3.5.2 ??
I have searched for some similar plugin but couldnt find one, is there any other plugin compatible with my wp ??

The plugin works fine with 3.7.1. You can test it to make sure yourself. If you have doubts you can also ask other people for confirmation.

It works on 3.8. Please don’t take the ‘compatible up to…’ as a ‘ZOMG! This will never work!’ Many times, if there’s nothing to update between versions, developers will neglect to update that.
