I’ve just installed the plugin and added a few movies but have a problem with the posters.

When I first add a movie I look up it up on TMDb. Once it’s found it, I flick back to the preview tab and I can see the movie poster. Then I publish the entry and the poster disappears, and is replaced by the missing poster image.

Am I missing something which would make the poster download / save?

  • Hi confuzzledduck,

Can you confirm the poster is actually downloaded but not set as a featured image?

Additionally, do you have any plugin installed that could caused this? I seem to remember a likely issue with a plugin interfering with thumbnails that prevented poster from being used correctly.

Ah ha! The comment about plugins poked me in the right direction: my theme has selective post-thumbnails so adding ‘movie’ to the post types array fixed it. Should have spotted that one sooner.

Thanks for your help and for the great plugin!

Great! What theme are you using, for the record?

It’s a custom theme. Even more reason I should have noticed my mistake sooner ??
