• I moved my domain from https://www.perfect-green.co.uk/newsite to https://www.perfect-green.co.uk and everything seems to look and function properly.
My problem comes in that when i try to upload new media i get this error message:

“limited-270-01.png” has failed to upload due to an error
The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/3645/mh_t_pgg23/www.perfect-green.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2012/10.

Is there something that I need to change that I may have missed?
I’ve changed the full URL path in the settings>media page from perfect-green.co.uk/newsite/wp-content…. to perfect-green.co.uk/wp-content…

Any help would be much appreciated!

  • Try changing the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.

    Thanks for the reply.
Could you tell me how I go about changing the permission on the wp-content directory? I’m quite new to wordpress!
    Thanks.

So I found out how to change the permissions on the wp-content directory, changed to the different combinations you suggested but none of them will let me upload any new media.
Do you have any other suggestions?

I have been having the same problem but after changing around the permissions, it can only upload but does does not display the images. What could be the problem?
