Moved site from subfolder to root, pages wont show up

Did you update the URLs in database? the links may be going to subfolder

Hi thanks for replying. I’m not quite sure how to do that. My company’s site host doesnt have a control panel, so I only access it via FTP. Any advice?

add these two lines in wp-config.php, add www. if needed. that will make you able to access your admin panel and all you pages, but images inside your pages may not be working. you can give it a try

Thanks for that suggestion. I added those lines but nothing is different.

I could already access admin and the homepage. But none o my links work, even though they look right. All of my links take me to a 500 Internal Server Error. I just don’t get what the problem is.

That URL is correct too. I followed the WP Codec when I did it. I wonder if there is a permalink issue. I’m kind of afraid to change permalinks to default and then back to /postname because I customized some urls when I created pages.

Grrr. it was the permalinks. Now I just need to relink some images. Thanks for taking the time to help.
