Moved from Local Host to Web Host, none of my images or plugs exported

The images are not gone (unless they’re not transferred to the new server). Basically the image URLs may still read something like https://localhost/blah/blah/blah/image.jpg instead of https://your-domain.com/path/to/image.jpg

You just need to update these links. Checkout WordPress’ docs on Moving WordPress to a New Server and also Changing The Site URL.

I did export the database from myphpAdmin and reuploaded it, but none of my images or plugins moved with it.
I had to go to my media and reupload all of my images from my local host files. I also now have to reinstall my plug ins and themes.

I followed the directions on that doc, and then went to the doc that talked about re uploading. I followed those directions and am still getting a site that looks like nothing has been done to it.

Look at your page source for the image URLs: https://localhost:8888/johnnysWordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/becomeAFanHeader.jpg

See the localhost? You need to find/replace those either in the database with a query in phpmyadmin (backup first) :

UPDATE wp_posts SET post_content = replace(post_content, 'https://olddomain.com', 'https://newdomain.com');

or with a plugin like Search RegEx.

It seems your site is ok now with the sidebars.

My sidebars still are not working, they were half my site! Any way to get them back?
