Moved files, Lost Content

    I am trying to move my blog from one subdomain to another. Without thinking, I just moved the files on my directory. When it didn’t work, I moved them back, but now everything is gone. The files are all still there in the directory, but when I log in none of my content (posts, media, settings) are there.

    I tried to follow the instructions I found on the codex, but I was unable to find a wp_options table.

    Help!

  • Sorry about this! Hope you took a backup before you started!

    Your posts and settings are in the SQL database. The wp-config.php file has the code that connects your site to the database. Check in that file to make sure the settings are all okay. Check the codex for what wp-config.php is supposed to look like.

    Hopefully you have figured it out and everything is okay now.
