My blog was hanging off the back of another domain I had and I have now purchased it’s own new domain, let’s call the new domain https://www.catcare.com. I have moved the entire blog to the new domain and now need to change all the links.

    For example:

    https://www.OldDomain.com/blog

    is now:

    https://www.CatCare.com

This means that all the links that are still pointing to the old domain’s pages, images, etc need to be changed to the new domain’s address. Here is an example of one of the pages:

    https://www.OldDomain.com/blog/feedingtips/

    is now

    https://www.CatCare.com/feedingtips/

and this is a problem because the pages that link to the feeding tips page are hard coded so that even though the domain has changed the link still points to the old domain, like this:

Instead of /feedingtips/ the link’s URL on the main page of https://www.catcare.com is https://www.OldDomain.com/blog/feedingtips/

To change all the links across the entire blog manually would take many many hours.

Is there an automatic way to do this, say with a plugin?

I suppose I will still have to change all the links in the htacess file so that anyone who has built links to the old address will be automtically redirected to the new address.
