Moved Blog From WP.com to WP.org, Now Old Links Are Broken
-
I recently moved my blog from WordPress.com to www.remarpro.com; and I’m sure I purchased some bell or whistle to translate all my links from the old blog so that they would still work on the new blog; but for the life of me I can’t seem to remember or figure out exactly WHAT it was that I paid for that was supposed to accomplish this (between Bluehost, WordPress, MOJO, etc. my head’s about to explode, and I can barely keep track of what’s what).
Some of the links work; but the ones that don’t are the ones that link one post to the next. Here’s an example.
The post is at:
https://www.deekadelic.com/?p=2527There are three problems here:
1) The aforementioned link issue. At the bottom of the post there exists the text “Previous chapter: (02)”, where the “02” is a hypertext link that is supposed to connect you to the previous post in the series (as opposed to the previous post on the blog itself). On WordPress.com, the link did what it was supposed to do; but now on www.remarpro.com, it doesn’t; and so my blog looks sloppy and unprofessional; and I need to rectify this; but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to do this. I’ve trolled the internet to no avail.2) The title of the post is duplicated for reasons I cannot determine.
3) For some reason, the main page of the blog (https://www.deekadelic.com/) no longer shows a preview of the first photo in the post, as it did on the old platform. So my main page is now all text; and with the visual component neutralized, the blog looks way less inviting and compelling than it used to.
I need to fix each of these problems; and I have been trying to do it on my own for a couple weeks now; and I’m about to throw my computer out the window. Any help anyone can give me will be much appreciated.
I’ll buy you a beer.
Thanks
Deek
