• I moved my weblog this morning and I have it up and running in its new location (https://66.197.91.76/blog/), but it seems to be pulling everything from the old location (https://www.gbhx.net/gbdc_www/blog/), even the database I think. CSS, files, data, everything. I have edited the wp-config.php file with the new info, and I have updated the paths in the admin, but it was the old admin I think. I seem to be having no luck is accessing the New admin where I need to make the real changes to get this thing to work.

I ended up swapping them more or less. One banner points to one location, the other goes back. Please help if you can.

  • Grab the program phpMyAdmin and use it to make the necessary changes directly in the database on your new host. This should take care of it.

This page about the usage of phpMyAdmin will help you.

I’m sorry, that isn’t really helping me. I don’t know what the problem is and I cannot access my admin panel to make changes there. I don’t see anything in PHPmyAdmin that is helping me. I redid the dump file, and even manually made the changes in the data, DB name, path, etc. Yet it is still not working.

It might a little bit late, but here is what you have to know when moving WP Moving_WordPress.

Thank you. That may help. I suppose it’s never too late (since the original DB is still in place), but I may have to retrace my steps.
