• Hi,

My WP is on a domain xpto1 and i want to move to xpto2.com for exemple.
I have export mysqp database and import to the new user.
I have copy all the files from my WP to the new location.

In first view things look the same but then i realize that font is not the same and the biggest problem the links are still link to the previous xpto1.
So what i am doing wrong here ? What i should do to fix this ?

I another thing when i copy the permission didn’t maintain.
It should be dir 755 and files 644 right ?

    Best Regards

  • You need to update the links in the database, as they will still contain refernences to xpto1.

A tool like this will help you.

    Thanks fot the reply ??

This tool works how ? Just install put the server ip and start testing it ?

And the fonts why have they change ?

    Regards

You name the folder something like ‘replace’, upload it to your root directory, then visit that address in your browser, e.g. https://www.mysite.com/replace.

Put in your old and new urls, check that the correct database tabled have been selected then run the script.

On completion you will need to log in to you new site and update the permalinks.

The fonts will work once you have done this. They are not currently working as you are still referencing them from your old site which breaches a cross domain policy.
