Move wordpress blog from sub directory to root

    I have a created a wp 2.9.2 site on another host in a a subdirectory and that part is working fine. I want to move it to the root directory so that I don’t have any / subdirectory in the url (I think I’ve said that right). I’m using hybrid news as a child theme.

    Do I just copy all the files from that subdirectory over into the root directory? That doesn’t seem to work.
