• Hi,

Pardon if this is a very basic question. I’d like to display the widgets (recent posts, meta, search, etc) below the sidebar navigation menu at left of the page, rather than at the bottom of posts. I don’t see a built-in option to do that; can someone tell me how I might accomplish this?

    Thanks!

Unfortunately that won’t be possible due to the design concept of this theme. The sidebar column was built to only have the site logo/title, social links, and the menu…no sidebars. This is because of the type of design and the menu which is a “Toggle” type menu and how it’s vertically aligned in the middle at all times.

Oh okay, no worries. I don’t suppose you (or anyone else) might be able to recommend a similar theme that does have that capability?

Sorry about that…Seasonal is a kind of a unusual theme, but I’m trying to think what other themes might work for you.

Twenty Fifteen might be what you want because it was a theme that started me on the idea of Seasonal. Although this demo is on the wordpress.com service, you can still see a demo of it here:

Your sidebar can have widgets, as well, you can add a background image.
