Move website to root

  • So, I tried to follow the simple guide but something went obvioulsy wrong..

    the website is no more reachable..

    Anyway, I had my website on website.com/wp and I wanted to copy it on the root website.com/, so that I could still keep my working copy on website.com/wp

    I followed this guide, I log on, I changed both WordPress and Site Address from website.com/wp to website.com and saved.

    Then from the ftp, I copied and pasted all my public/www/wp one step higher to public/www/ but the site is down, I cant even reach website.com/wp-admin or website.com/wp-login.php

  • I need to do the same thing. move a .com/wp to a .com

    The .com/wp is replacing completely the html .com site. I’ve been looking for information on how to do this but all I’m getting is confused.
