Moved website, DNS won’t verify

We moved our website to a new host, necessitating a change in domain name. I’ve canceled the old domain in our MailPoet account and reset the domain, then used a regenerated activation key to connect it to the new domain. That shows as verified.
But when I try to verify the DNS records (two CNAMEs, two TXT records), the strings that pop up in the MailPoet settings are for the old domain, not the new one. Telling the plugin to verify the settings then recreates the old domain name in our MailPoet account.
I’m caught in a loop. How do I break out of this and verify our DNS records?
