    Hi,
    Really glad to know from you. Yes, settings or tools menu is nice place for it. But the fact is, i have considered placing it in main menu taking even the newest user of wordpress into consideration so that even they can find the menu with the first glence.

    Do you really think that a novice user would define new shortcodes? And the admin, who installed the plugin, will more likely look for it in Tools, especially when the main menu is already cluttered with other plugins.
