    WP 3.5.2
    BackupWordpress Version 2.3

All files moved via ftp – ok
    Database sql imported – ok
WP config updated to new database info
PHP my admin: changed site url in options

I was able to connect to the database on the new domain without any errors.

But, the links in the front end of the new website still all point back to the original domain name.

In your directiions, you say:our site to a new domain, you’ll need to update the siteurl and home values in your wp_options table.

What exactly do you mean by home values?

And what else can I do so that the new domain operates the old website with the new domain in the urls?

    Thanks

This plugin is not for moving site. You still can use it for moving site, but you will need to manually edit the database and perhaps some files (wp-config.php, etc).

I recommend you to use Duplicator plugin, it works for me. It ever failed, but then I know how to increase the rate of success:

    – Disable (or uninstall) any security and caching plugins before start moving. After the moving process, you can reinstall the plugins.

as Handoko says, BackUpWordPress does not handle site migrations.

    thanks
