Move Search into Navigation?

  • I would like to get rid of the search in the right sidebar (probably change to the full width template) and instead have it appear in the navigation menu. Would appreciate any suggestions on how I could accomplish this.

    I am aware there are several plugins, but I’d rather do it in code than use a plugin if possible.
