Move pickup location above comments text area

    The pickup location select field (plus the DHL customer number field) is located below the comments text area. This doesn’t make sense, in my opinion. How can I move it above the text are without changing the template file?

    I’m trying to test this but I’m not sure where to look. Is it on the cart page or checkout page? I’m guessing Checkout, but I’m not finding the issue you mention. However, it could be because I haven’t put a full address yet. Could you please share a test address we can use to try to replicate this on our end? Additionally, can you share a screenshot of where or how the location field and DHL fields are showing up for you?

    Forgot to mention: We don’t use the block checkout, and we would rather not activate the block editor, if possible. We hate this thing.

    As I understand you are using the checkout shortcode, correct?

    To edit the shortcodes you will need custom code.

    While we can’t provide support for code customization as per our support policy, we do our best to offer advice and direct you to appropriate resources.

    You can also visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there too.

    I understand you mentioned not wanting to change the template, but you might also want to take a look at this?guide?on editing templates via the theme, which you might find helpful as it can help you achieve your goal.

    Another solution would be using a plugin to customize the checkout page.

    You can search for “customize checkout page“, or something similar, on the Plugins > Add New section of your dashboard or on a search engine like Google, for example.

    Please note that we do not provide support for third-party plugins, so it is good to check the plugin thoroughly to see if it is reliable. You can find more about this in this guide.

    Hi there,

    thank you very much. Almost everything of the checkout page can be customized via hooks or filters. This makes Woocommerce such a powerful and maintenance-friendly system. I can, for example, easily re-arrange the input fields for the customer data. No modifications of the template are needed. In addition to that, the checkout.php contains more or less only actions that can’t be modified in the template

    However, this pickup location section is very new. I couldn’t find anything about changing the position. You might aggree that the position after the comments textarea is probably the worst you could imagine. User will have a hard time finding it. The more so, since it is not visible before a ZIP code is entered.

    I searched high and low but couldn’t find anything useful. Please notice: It’s specific about this new feature. It’s not about customizing the checkout in general.

    To my knowledge, there is no pickup location functionality, as part of the core WooCommerce functionality.

    Therefore, I went ahead with investigating the site’s System Status Report (SSR), and it appears there is a plugin activated, related with this pickup location functionality:

    Yikes, I have to apologize. My mistake. Indeed, this functionality is not added by Woocommerce. I was confused because the Woocommerce (!) language files did translate this section.
