Nope, it’s not possible. Will be in a future release.

Just noticed this question from a while ago and though I think the plugin is super, before I get too far setting it up, I’d like to know if this will in fact be possible in a new or premium version since we change menu items around in different categories and intro specials that get moved into other menu categories (bear in mind that I’m using your use of “menu” as a category of a menu in order to be able to display them in different ways using the shortcodes. I suppose that if I used the “sections” then moving things around would be easier (probably as you planned it) however then I would not be able to manipulate how and where the sections are displayed. Thanks.

Testing this after the mention in a blog post from elegant themes. I am also looking for a way to add the same menu item to different menu’s with a different price. Reason:
    – Some items may be on the lunch menu and on the dinner menu, lunch being less expensive.
    – Restaurants tend to change their menu a few times a year and some items will always stay on the new menu.

Half a year ago you wrote this option would be in a future release. When do you expect that release to be available? And will it be available in the free version or in the pro version?

    Thanks

Yes, I thought about the idea of cloning the menu item inside another menu so you could change the price or description, but would be a new menu item, not the same menu item with different price.
Other option would be using the same menu item in different menus, but if you change something in the menu item in some menu will change also in the other menus using the same item, is that what you need ?

I think it is best to be able to have the same item in multiple menu’s. And indeed, if you change the name or description you see the change everywhere.

It would be ideal if you could have a different price for the same item in different menu’s. I thought you already prepared for that because if you look at an item within a menu, you can specify the price, but you can’t if you look at the menu item itself (from ‘the all menu items’ list).

Nope, it’s not prepared for that. The prices are directly managed in the menu editor but saved as meta fields in the menu item.
