• Hello,
I’m really new at this and I’m playing around with a local WordPress (Bitnami) install (5.8.2). I like the functionality but ran into 2 concerns.
    1. When creating a new folder, the left “tree view” does not auto update
    2. I started creating “custom” folders and have come to realize that I’d like to move some of these folders and turn them into sub-folders. All I see is “delete” when I right click. Wondering if I missed something as this, to me, would be a basic function.

    Thank you in advance

I just tested adding a folder and the folder tree does automatically update as it does for most users. In some cases, it may be necessary to expand the folder tree to see the new folder.

Some users may not realize that moving a folder will break any links that are embedded in post or pages. There is a way to move a folder which is described in the Support page of the plugin on your site. I would encourage you to read the troubleshoot tips sections and also the articles that are linked to in the troubleshooting articles section.

If you want to move a folder, create a new destination folder and then move the files from the old folder to the new folder. During the move process, any links to media files in standard WordPress posts and pages will be updated. After moving the files, the old folder can be deleted.

    Alan,
Thank you for the prompt response. I did see a similar response from you on another thread. I did create a new folder; however, I nested the pictures in sub and sub-folders. Thankfully, this is me learning and I had a picture per sub folder and no more. I’ve re-created the sub and sub-folders where I have now decided to have them … hopefully I don’t change my mind ??
