Move element inside another cover/colulmn/group element

    Hi,
    The arrows can move an element up and down in reference to the other elements, but how can one move it ‘inside of’ or ‘out from’ another elements like cover blocks, columns, groups?

    I tried the code editor but even that it seems simple I don’t seem to get it, since often when I move elements through the code editor I get errors for misplacement or missing tags.

    Are there tutorials on how to use these functions?

  • This kind of tasks are going to get easier on each release.

    In the meantime one thing you could try is:

    1. Select and copy the block(s) using control/command + C or the secondary menu.
    2. Insert a default paragraph block in the desired block using the + button.
    3. Paste the block(s) using control/command + V when the default paragraph block blinks.
    4. Delete the original blocks.

    Thanks @josvelasco . I have been doing that way lately and it needs a few steps but it’s ok. The inverse problem, like removing elements that contain other elements inside them, it’s a bit more complicated.

    @josvelasco Sorry, just one more thing that maybe you can help me with:

    I am struggling to control the elements while building my pages. For example, I want the image on the top right of this post to be reduced so it fits/adjusts to the a smaller cover block size. But I only see a crop button, not a resize one. How can I chose the image size?

    I searched for tutorials and I find that they have many more settings in their image blocks than I do, for example, in this tutorial on how to add and align images.

    Am I missing something? I tried installing the Guttenberg plugin but it doesn’t seem to offer the same settings. I don’t understand why my block editor has less settings than others do. Is it because they use other block editor plugins?

    I feel very limited to style my pages when I don’t have a good knowledge of the different blocks, but even more if those blocks don’t offer many settings. Are there good tutorials on how to “play” with the different blocks?

    Sorry for this discharge. I feel stuck and I am hopefull you can give me some orientation.
