Move Data from Content to a Custom Field

Hey all, thanks for having a look.

I have imported a member database into a custom post type called ‘members’. The plugin I used to import the posts required that I assign one of the columns in the csv to the content area. So now I have 163 posts with the content area containing a string I’d like to be in a custom field called ‘membership-type’. Once the info has been moved I’d like to clear it from the content area. Is there anyway to do this for all 163 posts with one quick sweep of the sql magic?
