I have read a previous request for this on this plugin (but was closed due to a breach of the support terms) – but the settings page still doesn’t display anything about whether I can set the consent bar to “push the page down” or be “on top” of content…

Is there going to be this setting any time soon? Would be very nice to have!

    Thank you!

  • Hi – yes, we’ll add this with the next release, though we don’t have any timings for that at the moment.

The new version will push the content down if the bar is at the top. If the bar is at the bottom, it will sit over the content.

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

I really want to have the bar at the top, will a future version put it beneath the footer so that the content is still visible?

I tried moving it to the top and it covers the admin bar when you are logged in, is it possible to change it so that you can still see the admin bar?

    Many thanks

I upgraded to 1.8.2 and, still, the content is not pushed down. I have cleared browser caches etc. I have also tried on other computers where my site has never been accessed… Is there supposed to be an option that needs to be set in the settings panel?

    Thank you!

Can you just go into Settings > Cookie Consent and confirm the position is set to Top. Re-save while you’re there.

Ahhhhhh! it was already set to top but I changed it to “Bottom” -> Saved -> Changed it back to “Top” -> Saved -> Deleted my cookies and caches -> Reloaded and now it works!

    Tip for the future/FAQs.

    Thank you!

    Thanks for a great plugin!

I’m having some problems with the ‘floating-on-top’ feature on the iPhone though. It works just fine in MacOS and iOS for iPad, but on the iPhone the banner is placed straight over the web site logo and menu, making it difficult to navigate. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you!
