Hello, I have a blog in Multisite 3.1.x

I have no rights to add plugins, I cannot add facebook fanbox, etc.
    I want to move!

The admin is not willing to help!
The only thing I have is the Tools->Export function.

I want to by mydomain.com and start MY OWN wordpress blog. Not in multisite environment.

What needs to be done in order to copy/export my multisite blog to a normal 3.2.1?

    Thank you

I know how to install WordPress… I have several WP blogs…. but I don’t know how to transfer a multisite blog to a normal one…

I mean… is there some exporter? Some software? Or WordPress can copy the blog automatically?

I am not sure if the admin can give me a copy of the database or installation files with photos, etc.

The same way you could import content from one standalone install to another. Via Tools ->Export and then Tools -> Import.

But the Export tool will export only an XML, which has only text, tags, etc.

Who/what will import the .jpg files, etc?

You’ll have to re-upload images & attachments. It’s unreasonable to ask a multisite owner to extract an .sql in a format that will be suitable for import into a standalone site.

?? there is no way to make it automatic?

I mean… this blog is 3 years old and has thousands of posts, with at least 6 pictures each post…

    what do you suggest?

No. I’m not even sure that it’s possible via .sql.

so each picture or attachment needs to be added manually…

What else do you mean with attachment?
Something else needs to be done manually?

What else do you mean with attachment?

    PDFs, audio files etc etc.
