MovableType template import?

  • Speaking for myself, as a relatively unskilled web designer, i’ve put days of painful work and testing into the templates behind my site. So i was wondering if it’s feasible to ask for import of basic movable type templates. Does such a thing exist?
    I realize that this is a hugely complex thing to think about, but it also seems to me that, assuming that the templates are well-formed, this borders on being a simple XSLT transform of the templates. (Okay, i oversimplify)
    Cos i know that, for me, i can’t justify the titanic effort and time investment involved in moving my templates over unless there’s at least something to automate that.
    Mind you, given the template spec for wordpress, and the one for MT, it might be feasible to write one as well.

  • This would be extremely complicated and probably not work very well. It’s not that hard to move your design over, give it a try.
