Movable Type Import Direct From Database

  • Hi there, my former host lost all the data on the server and all I have is a recent backup of the MySQL database containing all my MT blog data.

    Installing MT all over again, just in order to export the postings, especially since it was an old free version, is really something I want to avoid at all costs. It took me forever last time and I really don’t want to do it again.

    Is there any way I can extract the postings from one of the blogs in that MT database backup for import into a fresh WordPress installation?
