My first recommendation is to stop using mov files. mov is not an officially supported container for web video. My plugin makes an effort to trick browsers into playing mov files, but it doesn’t always work. You might be able to make a thumbnail if you try a different browser. I suggest Chrome, which seems to be the most flexible, or Safari if you’re on a Mac. If your mov files are H.264 video with AAC audio, you can probably just rename them to mp4 before uploading and it should work fine. If the mov videos use different codecs, you’ll have to convert them using a transcoder like Handbrake. And if you’re able to install FFMPEG on your server, you can use the plugin to automatically convert mov files to H.264 mp4s.

    Huge thanks!
And again, I love the plugin!

    Well… No luck.
Uploading video’s is open for everyone.
So I can’t ask them to rename the file to .mp4.
    Do you have another solution?

If you can’t install FFMPEG on your server, you could prevent users from uploading mov files using a plugin like Manage Upload Types.
