Mouseover image numbers

Hi Folks, new to the forum.

I am setting up a website which is photography based. I’m looking for some kind of feature or plugin that will allow me to show a small number in the corner of an image when a user puts their mouse over it? This is to help people let me know the specific photograph to be printed.

Is there any plugin or function someone can advise me on please?
