• Screenshot of the section where the note should appear on mouse hover.
• Your System Status: You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

I am able to see that you have an outdated version of WooCommerce.

As a first step, please could you update the WooCommerce plugin in order to obtain optimal functionality. Below is a guide on how to do this:

Additionally, please update your WooCommerce Database to match the core version. This can be done via WooCommerce > Status > Tools > Update database. Below is more detail documentation on this:

Please ensure that you have a good backup of your full site and database in place before doing the updates, so that, should something go wrong, you are able to easily restore your site to a functioning state.

Most hosting providers have this included in the subscription however, you may also consider using a service such as Jetpack, or a plugin like UpdraftPlus.

I was unable to find a plugin for this specific purpose.

However, there is an alternative solution via custom code in this Stack Overflow article.

Another alternative is to downgrade the version of WordPress on your site to a previous one, please check:
https://jetpack.com/blog/how-to-downgrade-a-wordpress-website-to-a-previous-version/

You will not want to do this action on your production site at once, you will want to back up first, you can use a plugin like WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site in case you would like to downgrade.

My friend found a plugin WPC ORDER NOTES FOR WOOCOMMERCE. It does the job. In my situation it’s even better. It shows the latest note on the order page. I love it and it’s free. Hope it helps.
