I recently installed Yoast SEO on my wordpress site and noted some comments Yoast is giving me regarding my website “Front Page”. Because the only text that is on the front page is in the little white box in the corner of the picture, Yoast SEO is telling me that my ~30 words is woefully low for SEO. I have plenty of widgets (with text and other content) on my front page, but I’m not sure these are being “seen” by Google. Is there a way to make the Motif Front Page more SEO friendly? I know there are many things that go into SEO, but my website isn’t even popping up in Google when I type in my business name “Radiology Training Associates”. I’m just concerned that google isn’t seeing hardly any content on my Front Page.

Google’s search spider sees all the text on your page. Search engines don’t care whether your content is coming from the post editor or from widgets, they see it all. It’s Yoast’s plugin that probably doesn’t, as I don’t think it’s detecting content within your widgets, only the text within the post editor. ??

Those are three very generic words, unfortunately. ?? Also, if your site is new, you need to give Google some time to find your site and index it. I’d suggest you get your site hooked up to Google Webmaster Tools and follow other SEO best practices. Good luck!
