A few months ago the widget of most Viewed Posts stopped updating its stats, and it doesn’t reflect the actual posts that are most viewed now.
I tried disabling all plugins other that Jetpack, I tried emptying the Cache that our host supplies us, but to no avail.
How can I debug this issue and understand what’s causing it?

  • Hi @leac

I tried to load your site to check the issue and it is not loading on my end.

It is a server issue and I recommend you contact the hosting support to check your site.

As soon as you recover the site’s accessibility, please contact us back to check your widget issues.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    My best regards,

    Michelle

    Hi Michelle,

Thank you very much for looking into the issue.

It’s weird that the site isn’t loading on your end – I don’t see any apparent problem on my end, so it’s hard for me to check the issue, and our hosting support is not too responsive.

Therefore I’d appreciate any guidance you can offer me even without seeing the issue on my site.

    Hi @leac

Could you confirm if you have any country IP blocked, please? Looks like my lack of access is because my IP range is being blocked from your server.

I’d suggest contacting your hosting provider and asking them to check their security logs for any blocked requests to the xmlrpc.php file on your site, using the Jetpack by WordPress.com user agent.

You can also ask them to allow our IP addresses listed here:

    https://jetpack.com/support/how-to-add-jetpack-ips-allowlist/

Please note that these IP addresses could change (or more could be added) at any time, which could break your connection to Jetpack. For this reason, we actually discourage allowing listing specific IPs, although with some hosts it may be the only option.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    My best regards,

    Michelle

    Hi,

I contacted our hosting provider and they added the IP addresses. However, some of those IPs belong to countries that the hosting provider blocks.

What does that mean regarding the Jetpack functionality? Can Jetpack function with partly allowed IP addresses?
