Most Relevant Not Updating

    Hi!
    First of all this is a great plugin. Thank you!

    I’d like to display the most relevant review in one area, then the second most relevant review in another area and so on. You can see what I am doing on the review slider here. https://prospectivehomeinspections.com/#reviews

    I’m using shortcode with an offset. While I am getting the five top reviews the order is not updating when the daily API data is retreived. Is there a way to get those top five reviews to match the daily retreaved data?

    Also the same thing on this page, https://prospectivehomeinspections.com/reviews/. The plugin is set to display by relevance decending but it’s not updating daily.

    @scartwright This is an excellent point and well-spotted!

    The relevance in the reviews listed on Google changes over time – a new review may appear “most relevant” for a short period of time and a second, later review will re-emerge as the most relevant once more.

    To tackle this issue, I will need to introduce a more sophisticated approach to relevance ordering that can change more fluidly over time and be affected by data collected in the HTML Import.

    I am aware of this issue and I have intended to resolve it properly at some point (preferably if and when there was a demand). I’ll keep you posted when this new functionality exists in a subsequent version of the plugin.

    For the time-being I’d recommend keeping the current sorting or perhaps switching to date order with some filtering of the rating/review text length/etc.

    I’ll mark this as resolved for the time-being as it is an extension to current functionality – and I’ll be improving the relevance system so it continues to be properly relevant…

    @scartwright Thanks again for your post here. I have added an improved sorting of reviews by relevance with HTML Import also taken into account. Please download version 3.16.
