@prodigy36 While Search Console can use the referenced title HTML tag that isn’t always the case, as Search Engines can modify the titles to something it deems more appropriate.

In your case I can see the correct title is used in a second listing of your homepage URL. While I am unsure why your homepage URL is being referenced twice there could be a number of reasons, including the “watch the video” dead link on your homepage or different content from when you moved.

I would suggest checking with the product experts using the Search Console Help Center, or alternatively check the URL Inspection tool within Search Console to ensure it’s being indexed as it should.

    hi
yes, the second title belongs to data statistics from google analitycs before i make the restore for backup.
i think that updraft pro backup plugin , when you restore a previous backup, it removes all the old folders and archives in public html and instal the ones in the backup. deleting all information about google site kit. im not sure if im true. but all this happends when i restored a backup im sure.

@prodigy36 thanks for your reply! Site Kit is dynamically pulling in this information from the services, so it’s not stored in the files on your server. Could you try to reset Site Kit (Site Kit > Settings > Admin Settings > Reset Site Kit) and connecting Analytics again?

    hi

in the google site kit plugin the option to delete all info or database tables is not present in the setting . it would be great to add that option in the plugin settings in future updates to be easy to reset site kit.

i will reset for 2nd time and delete plugin and cache. then i will reinstall plugin to see if that work. i will let you know .

    thanks for your help

@prodigy36 thanks for the details. Yes, please do. Actually, what you describe is the correct way to clear what Site Kit has placed in the database. When you reset Site Kit this removes stored data. Please feel free to provide any updates at your convenience.

@prodigy36 I’m just following up on your support topic. Did the titles restore after resetting/ reinstalling the plugin?

    Hi
im sorry i didnt update. its finally solved when updated the plugin to last version.
i think this problem was due to a staging environment i created for my main domain. when i made the staging site to test some others plugin functionality it duplicated all the plugins i have ( also site kit and rankmath ). i think that google was tracking duplicated post and pages. thats why the title was not showing.
when i deleted the staging site and wait some days for google cache and finally updating google site kit to last version. the title shows correctly on widget and on google analytics.
im sorry it was my mistake ( i do think this was the problem). thank you for offering help.

@prodigy36 Thanks for the update, good to hear you were able to resolve it. I’ll keep a note on this for others who have used Site Kit in a similar staging environment, very useful information.

Now that you can use the plugin as expected be sure to provide your own feedback.
