Most of homepage not displaying

    Hello,

    Can anyone help me please ? My homepage has, in the last hour, stopped displaying properly. Only about one third of it is there, and none of the content.

    I can’t see anyone else reporting this issue, and right now I’m not sure whether it’s wordpress, my host provider or my ISP.

    I’m not sure where to start either…

  • Can be anything that causes the problem as it shows HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error. See deactivating all plugins and reverting to Twenty Twelve theme can help – use FTP or your hosting control panel. Contacting your host can help with the problem.

    Krishna, thanks for replying.

    The trouble is, I don’t get any error message. I just get about one third of the homepage showing.

    My ISP and host provider have, in the past, shuttled me between them, which for someone with no technical expertise was very stressful and I’m keen to avoid that happening again.

    Additionally my host is not in the UK so it will be hours before they can even respond.

    I have deactived the plugins and that hasn’t made any difference, though I presume as it’s the middle of the night for my host provider, the changes would hardly make any difference would they ? I find it takes ages for anything to show up as different on some browsers, so I left it for half an hour and nothing has changed.

    As this is my business I need to fix this before lunch.

    Any suggestions, anyone ?

    I just thought I should let you all know that I identified this to be the shareaholic plugin following an update overnight. The javascript code stopped running about a third of the way through my homepage and prevented anything else from working.

    I have not heard from the developer as yet but the plugin remains deactivated.

    I thought it might help if anyone else has updated the plugin today and had these problems.
