Most highly Supported Calendar

What is the best supported calendar.
I am putting in a new install of WP (came over from Drupal)
and I see that there are many calendar plugins.

Which calendar plugins are, in your opinion, the most “future-proof”?
I value future compatibility above functionality.

So far, I’ve had a look at “events manager” and “The Events Calendar”
