• It went live yesterday at https://moshublog.com
Although the domain is new, I have imported into this blog all my WordPress tutorials and tips from my previous blog, together with posts from another, more personal blog.
(If you have bookmarked any of those old posts, you will be redirected to the new location!)

The blog also got a new theme and will be updated regularly. Go over there and tell me what you think.

  • Looks very much like a blog. The left side is clean and easy to read. But my eye keeps moving towards the middle column. It is very busy and full of colorful areas. There is a lot of text in that column and draws most of the attention.

Are the 3 columns needed? Do you need to have so much going on in such a thin column? If your main reason for the blog is the news you write, then that should be the focal point.

    Just my two cents.

I agree — my attention keeps getting drawn to the column with the ads. Maybe you could make the text larger in the left column? With so many boomers getting on in years I think big text has a big future anyway.

That’s an amazing post about merging to blogs, by the way. I just paid a friend to do exactly the same job — merge a blog with another blog that had been in a subdirectory. I have no idea what he did or whether he used the same technique, but it worked. Anyway, good work.

Ooops. I made this comment on the wrong post. The one above is for your blog though, Moshu!
